Tyne Green Country Park

Tyne Green Country Park is well used and loved green space along the banks of the Tyne in Hexham. The site was donated to Hexham Board of Health in 1871 in commemoration of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee to be managed as a 'public pleasure grounds' and has been used as a recreation area for the public ever since. The Friends of Tyne Green formed in 2011 to promote the site and its considerate use by the public.
