Hexham Abbey Guild of Bellringers
Save Cancel

imageThe bells at Hexham Abbey are rung for two services on Sundays, and we have regular Tuesday and Thursday evening practices. Once a month we host an advanced practice, attended by some of our own ringers and other ringers from a wide area. We also ring for weddings and other special occasions.

Our main ringing times are as follows:

  • Sunday 09.15 - 10.00: Ringing for morning service
  • Sunday 17.30 - 18.30: Ringing for evening service (usually a quarter peal is rung on first Sunday in the month)
  • Tuesday 17.30 - 19.00: Practice on 6 & 8 bells using our simulator (silent outside).
  • Thursday, 19.15 - 21.00: Practice night - all ringers welcome

If you want to check that we are ringing on a Thursday or a Sunday, or to find out the date of an advanced practice, visit our ringing calendar on our webpage at:
