Pirate Week Craft
Get into the mood and create your own pirate mask inspired by Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom costumes from Pirates of the Caribbean featured in the Dressing The Stars exhibition. Suggested donation £1.50. This event will run from Saturday 25th May to Sunday 2nd June.

Walk and Talk Family Tours
11am, 1pm & 3pm Discover Woodhorn's colliery past with a guided walk around some of our historic buildings. The tour is suitable for all ages and is free of charge. Lasts approximately 30 minutes. This event runs from Saturday 25th May to Sunday 2nd June.

Exhibition Opening - William Davison's Printing Shop
Come and visit on the first day of our exhibition - William Davison's Printing Shop. This exhibition showcases some unique pieces from our own collections in the Northumberland Archives. William Davison had a printing shop in Alnwick and the various printers proofs provide a unique glimpse into the social and economic life of a provincial town and its rural surrondings in the first half of the 19th century.

Movie Magic - The King's Speech (15)
Join us for a special evening viewing of the exhibition 'Dressing The Stars', classic film and a glass of wine. These film screenings are presented by Woodhorn in partnership with Doorstep Pictures. Miners' Picnic
This fantastic family day out is jam packed with things to see and do. Enjoy Ashington Brass Band and a special performance by North East folk stars Bridie Jackson and the Arbour. Browse the stalls in our food and craft fair, meet the folks from NUFC's Toon Times, let your hair down and engage with the Festival of the North East bus, maybe even catch sight of Captain Jack Sparrow and much more!

Anniversary - An Act of Memory at Woodhorn
Sunday 11th May & Saturday 8th June. Are you passionate about Human Rights? Join Woodhorn to take part in a collective recitation from memory of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) with artist Monica Ross. Take this chance to learn a small part of the Declaration in your language of choice and recite it in public as part of this unique performance series during the annual Miners' Picnic on Saturday 8th June 2013.
