Plessey Woods Country Park

Plessey Woods Country Park is set in 100
acres of woodland, meadows and riverside.
With plenty of parking and good public transport
links, it is an ideal place for a family day out.
Plessey Woods Country Park is on bus routes
from nearby towns including Blyth, Cramlington,
Bedlington, Morpeth, Ashington and Newcastle.
Bus stops are at Hartford Bridge, Hartford Hall,
and Hartford Bridge Village.

•  01 August 2015Bat Night: Join Sam Talbot from the bat group to discover the bats of Plessey. Includes a walk around the woods to see what we can find using bat detectors. Please bring a torch! Bookings only. 3.50 per adult, 2.50 per child. 6 Years and over. 
•  04 August 2015Red Squirrel Activity day: Join Red Squirrels North East and the Morpeth & District Red squirrel Group to learn more about our native red squirrel and what is being done to protect them. Squirrel walks for all, childrens activities, information and more 
•  09 August 2015Geocaching Family Day: Have fun in the woods while hunting out secrets that others don't know are there. Bring all the family along to try this growing craze and use the trails, sign the log, swop trinkets and log in to watch your finds grow online. It's easy and addictive and all training will be given. You will need your own GPS receiver or GPS enabled Smartphone. Drop in from 12pm. Bookings only.
