Plessey Woods Country Park

Plessey Woods Country Park is set in 100
acres of woodland, meadows and riverside.
With plenty of parking and good public transport
links, it is an ideal place for a family day out.
Plessey Woods Country Park is on bus routes
from nearby towns including Blyth, Cramlington,
Bedlington, Morpeth, Ashington and Newcastle.
Bus stops are at Hartford Bridge, Hartford Hall,
and Hartford Bridge Village.

•  Saturday, July 26, 2008Otter Walk: Join the River Bailiff on a search for the elusive Otter. Spot their tracks, signs and other wildlife. A three mile walk along the River Blyth. Will involve some River walking! Dress for mess. Ages 12yrs and over, BOOKINGS ONLY on 01670 824793 
•  Tuesday, July 29, 2008Minibeast Hunt: Join park staff in a hunt for creepy crawlies and wild wigglies. We will be searching in the woods and in the meadow. Wear long sleeves, trousers and bring sun protection.Time: 11.00am and 1.30pm, each session last 1.5hours, for ages 5yrs+ 
•  Thursday, July 31, 2008Campfire Cooking: Make and cook food on an open campfire. We'll be making the classic "Twizzels" and "Fire Cake". All materials provided. Ages 6yrs and over, two 1.5hr sessions: 11am and 1.30pm
