Northumberland County Carpet Bowls Association

The N.C.B.A. has 76 member clubs within Northumberland. Each club provides a venue for the sport of carpet bowling, where members meet on a regular basis for club nights, friendly matches, league games and local competitions.

The age of carpet bowlers ranges from eight to eighty and the game is accessible to able bodied and disabled players.

The Northumberland County Team play matches within the Northern Counties League, culminating in the National Inter-County Championships held at Blackpool each November.
National events are also held by the English Carpet Bowls Association.

• Sunday, October 12, 2008 - Northumberland County Trials: Trials for the County Team 2008-9 will be held. Teams must consist of N.C.B.A. members. Players who wish to trial must not have played for any other County Teams within the last three years,

• Saturday, October 25, 2008 - N.C.B.A.Triples: Triples Competition

• Friday, November 07, 2008 - E.C.B.A. County Championships: Ten County Teams compete for the Championship Trophies Fri 7th Nov - Monday 10th November 2008
