After County matches at Chester-le Street on December 2nd 2007, 13th January 2008, 3rd February 2008 and 2nd March 2008 the results stand as follows :-

After Northumberland taking a strong lead in the first match, Sunderland fought well to get into first place after the second. By the third match Durham began gaining strength and continued to edge nearer to Sunderland. North and South Tyneside continued to fight hard gaining their best score yet. However Sunderland held on to their strong lead, and became Northern League Champions. All teams have played well this season, and the Northern Teams will all be supporting Sunderland in their Friday night game against the Southern Champions at Blackpool in November.
