| Cash in a Can |
The Lions will be inviting customers of Morrisons to contribute cash towards their Christmas Charity events. They will purchase food items from Morrisons and distribute these to the elderly and needy throughout the Borough. They will also purchase, wrap and deliver presents for children in care or within families experiencing difficult times. In 2009 they distributed 263 food parcels with a value of about £13 each parcel; they provided presents for 101 children in 40 families. The collection will take place each day Monday to Saturday week commencing the 13th December. The Lions used to ask customers to contribute tins of food - the event was then called "Tin in a Bin".

| Dickens of a Draw |
A raffle where any charitable or similar organisation may sell tickets and eventually retain the income from their sales - Morpeth Lions Club fund the prizes and admin costs to facilitate fund raising for small organisations. Contact Mike for tickets to sell!
