The Clock Tower is situated just off the Market Place at the junction of Oldgate, Newgate Street and Bridge Street. The Clocktower is shown on the map as "Tower" which is near to the Town Hall ("TH"). Enter via the external stone staircase. You may need to push hard on the door to overcome the roller catch. Knock, if the trapdoors are down, for admission to the ringing room.
Visitors by car can use nearby pay and display car parks (these are free after 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays and all day Sundays) in Oldgate or near the Leisure Centre.
Visitors arriving by public transport can walk from the railway station (about 20 mins) or from Morpeth bus station (about 5 mins). Good connections are available from Newcastle, Alnwick and Berwick as well as Ashington, Cramlington and Blyth. Please check times and fares by phoning traveline in advance on 0870 608 2 608.
