Hexham Local History Society

Hexham Local History Society was founded in 1968 and is now one of the largest local history societies in the county. Our members meet monthly for a programme of talks and, in the summer months, visits to locations of historic interest throughout the northeast. New members are always welcome. Just come along to one of our meetings, at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday in the month at Trinity Methodist Church Hall, or contact our Membership Secretary. Visitors are also welcome, at a charge of £2.

We publish a thrice-yearly newsletter and an annual journal, The Hexham Historian.

The Society is a registered charity, No.1042198, and is a member of the Association of Northumberland Local History Societies.
