Haltwhistle Library: Jubilee After School Art Workshops
9-14 year olds are invited to come along to a series of three Jubilee art workshops to be delivered by Whistle art stop at Haltwhistle Library on Wednesdays 16th, 23rd and 30th May from 4-6pm. Young people will have the chance to create a big piece of art using collage, murals and tile painting which will be displayed in the community for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. It is not necessary to attend every session bur places are limited so please book places (£1 to include refreshments) with the library on 01434 321863

Haltwhistle Library: Knit & Natter Group
This friendly group for knitters of all abilities meets weekly on Wednesday afternoons from 2.00 – 3.30. There is a charge of £1 to cover the cost of refreshments. Contact Haltwhistle Library on 01434 321683 for more details.

Haltwhistle Library: Fun Family Story Art Workshops
Pre-school children with their parents or carers are invited to a series of magical story art workshops at Haltwhistle Library with Diane Hartley from Whisperworks. Children will share a favourite story then create a textured collage which can be taken home. The sessions will be held on four Wednesdays 9th, 16th ,23rd and 30th May from 1.30 – 2.30pm. Each session is self-contained so weekly attendance is not necessary. There is a charge of £1 and coffee/juice and home –made cake will be served Places are limited so please book directly with Haltwhistle Library on 01434 321863 beforehand.

Come and try the traditional craft of hooky and proggy in a free craft taster session. Local expert Caroline Mann will give participants a taste of what’s involved and if enough interest is shown a longer course may be available in September.
