Groundwork North East

Scheme to involve the community in making their environment a nicer place, by doing gardening projects etc. This is for people of all ages and also includes people with Learning Disabilities. They have a bus which has a ramp for wheelchairs. Volunteers could be taught how to do things like dry stone walling, gateway making etc. New Group planned called ECO MINDS for people with mental health problems. Also work in Ashington Community woods project which is just for people in the Ashington area.
