Druridge Bay Strategy 2006-2010

In 2006 the Druridge Bay Partnership, an informal partnership of local councils, conservation trusts, landmangers, businesses and community groups in the Druridge Bay area, published their vision for the sustainable management and development of Druridge Bay up to the year 2010.

Part 1 of the Strategy is divided into 6 main sections looking at:

  • Landscape
  • Historic environment
  • Natural environment
  • Environmental quality
  • Living communities, and
  • Enjoying Druridge Bay

Each section includes and overview and an analysis of key issues, before recommending policies to address the key issues.

Part 2 of the Strategy comprises an Action Plan that aims to translate the polices in Part 1 into action on the ground throughout the plan period.

The Strategy was launched by David Bellamy and local school children at Druridge Bay Country Park in July 2006.  You can follow the link below to download a copy of the Strategy.
