| Druridge Bay 10k Fun Run |
You chance to enter the 2nd Druridge Bay 10k Charity fun run, just complete the attached form and send it to; Graham Mitcheson. 10K Fun Run, Druridge Bay Country Park, Red Row, Morpeth, Northumberland. NE61 5BQ along with your fee £10.00
Closing date 9th May 2008 or when limit of 1000 entries reached. Entries on day £12.50, subject to limit of 1000 entrants. This race is not wheelchair accessible.
This event welcomes all standards of applicants across the spectrum, from the elite runner to the slowest walker, fancy dress participant are most welcome. We’d love to rekindle the good will and fantastic spirit of last year’s race, but let’s make it bigger and better.
A gem of a 10k route starting 10.30am at Druridge Bay Country Park, running on gravel track, grass, tarmac and sand, incorporating the National Cycle Route and beautiful Druridge Bay beach. Parking, toilets and facilities are available at Druridge Bay Country Park Visitors Centre.
The minimum entry age, 13 years, on the 25 May 2008, under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
All proceeds raised from this event will be donated to The British Heart Foundation, in memory of a local lad “Gordon Parr” who died aged 43 after developing serious heart conditions.
To all whom new him, he was everybody’s best friend, to all his friends and family, his larger than life personality will stay with them forever.
