Situated in the former Mechanics' Institute, Blyth Library houses the major collection of local studies material for Blyth, books for adults, teenagers and children, DVDs and CDs, audiobooks, newspapers and magazines and 13 public access computers.

• 24 May 2013 - Blyth Library: Bounce and Sing: Come and join us for stories, rhymes and songs. Suitable for age-0-4yrs. Every Friday morning. The contact is Maureen Thompson at Blyth Library.

• 29 May 2013 - Blyth Library: Illustration with Daniel Weatheritt for 5yrs+: A creative craft session for children ages 5+ and those who care for them. Parents or carers of children aged 8 and under must stay for the duration of the session. Please contact the library for more information and to book your free place.
