Berwick Library: Bradford Kaims – DVD launch
Ashington High School students will be launching the first in a series of DVDs relating to the archaeological dig at Bamburgh – they will show the DVD and talk about how the dig went and what they hope to do in the future. They will bring artefacts and items found on the dig – and there may be some crafts for all to have a go at.

Berwick Library: Poems on the Great War
Poems in the Great War. As part of the Berwick 900 celebration Berwick Library will be hosting Susan Brown, great -granddaughter of Thomas Grey “The Border Poet”. Susan has collated many of his poems and will read her favourites. Thomas Grey was born in Berwick and many of his family served in World War I – several of the poems are deeply personal. The book will be available to buy on the day – which will be the launch
