Arthritis Research UK

Our charity is the only major charity in UK funding research in Universities, Hospitals and Medical Schools to investigate the cause and cure of arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.We currently fund grants worth almost £7 million across the North East, but do not receive any government funding. Our funds are raised in a variety of ways including community fundraising and we are always looking for committed volunteers to help us in our work.
