Many of our service users just need someone to take them from A to B so we are looking for someone who drives and has access to a car. The need for support of this kind is sporadic. For example, we may have to help a woman get to court on the same day she comes to us so that she can obtain a Non-Molestation Order to keep her and her children safe.
We would also like someone to sort out and distribute the clothes, books and other goods we are given. Sometimes this means taking stuff to the Northumberland Refuge.
As we have exemption from the Equality Act all our volunteers are women.
